Our Team

We employ very qualified and experienced people who exceed the requirements of the regulations set out by the Children's Act 1989.  There are multiple members of staff with recognised child-care qualifications permanently based in each of the rooms at the Nursery.  Most of our staff have level three childcare qualifications; others have level two childcare qualifications.  Three of our staff were deputy managers in their previous nurseries. One of our staff members has qualified teacher status.

We ensure that all members of the team undertake ongoing training and that they keep their childcare qualifications up to date.  They frequently attend internal and external training courses (including on safeguarding, SEND in Early Years settings, next steps and planning, supporting children with special educational needs and behaviour coordination).

All of our team members are paedriatric first aid qualified and they have all been subject to Enhanced DBS checks.

We are committed to ensuring that our team enjoys working at the Nursery and that they realise how valued they are; they are our most important resource.  Our team members have demonstrated time and again a drive and commitment to providing excellent quality care for your children.  Every child is allocated one of our team members as their key person (they are also allocated a substitute key person (or buddy), just in case their main key person is unavailable at any point).

Our management team is:

Anthony Bailey, Director and Head of Nursery

Anthony was a lawyer in the City for 15 years before he created Purple Panda Nursery.  He has set very high standards for the staff at the Nursery and has brought to the Nursery many of the skills that he learned in the City.  He is determined that all of the children at the Nursery have an excellent quality of education and care within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
